A Seattle driver who recorded himself driving over 100 mph on Seattle city streets was barred from driving his infamous "Belltown Hellcat."
According to KING 5, 20-year-old Miles Hudson was arrested on two counts of reckless driving in late March. As part of the conditions for his release on April 9, the social media influencer is forbidden from driving his tiger-stripped Dodge Charge Hellcat for a year. The conditions don't prevent him from driving in general.
Hudson runs an Instagram page with over 713,000 followers, where he posts videos of himself speeding over 100 mph in his modified vehicle. In one video, he's seen racing two other drivers in Dodge Chargers and hitting 107 mph in downtown Seattle.
Reporters said the infamous car sports LED headlights, an enlarged Hellcat logo, and engine modifications that blare gunshot-like backfiring. Residents in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood have complained about Hudson's Hellcat for months on social media.
Police gave Hudson a verbal warning after they caught him recklessly driving in downtown Seattle in January. On March 20, officers arrested the 20-year-old driver for speeding in a 25 mph zone. According to a police report obtained by KING 5, Hudson told authorities he makes money off his videos and vowed to keep making them.
"I’m going to make a career out of this," he reportedly told police.
Before he was banned from using his Hellcat, Hudson posted a video mocking local news coverage of high-speed antics.
"The police on my page, I’m done driving," he's heard saying before the video cuts to him meeting up with other drivers. "SPD don't f** with us!"
